About Us

What is the Maryland Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program?

Maryland HomePerformance is a one-stop shop for all your home's comfort, energy, and indoor air quality improvement.

Maryland Home Performance is sponsored by the Maryland Energy Administration. It is part of Governor O'Malley's EmPOWER Maryland initiative and seeks to reduce Maryland's electricity consumption by 15% per person by 2015.

A contractor participating in the Maryland Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program is trained and certified to diagnose your home for issues such as drafty rooms, hot or cold rooms, mold and moisture problems, and other hidden causes for high energy bills. The program trains and certifies contractors to perform energy audits and install whole-house energy improvements.
